Finally, our new long-awaited Pointe au Baril Rink is underway.

This exciting project is being led by the Township of the Archipelago in partnership with the PaB Raise the Roof! Steering Committee. With the Township’s support and additional funding secured through a special Provincial grant, Phase One will be completed this Spring. It will include a completely refurbished rink surface, new rink boards and a special structural foundation to allow for Phase Two – the construction of the all-important roof over the rink.

For the last 18 months, a volunteer PaB Raise the Roof! Steering Committee has been working closely with the Township to help make this important project a reality … and without impacting our taxes.

Phase 2 roof building design and tendering is now underway, and will require further successful grant applications, as well as fundraising across our extended community and businesses to get that Roof Raised!

The Steering Committee will be seeking your input, involvement and help this summer, so stay tuned!
